Pastor Appreciation Month- October
In true Summitview fashion, we would like to celebrate our Pastors and all their hard work today, in November. 😉
Guadalupe Shelter Supply Drive- last day for donations
Our ladies have been hosting a shelter supply drive for this year’s Guadalupe Community Shelter “Non-Event Charity Ball”, collecting items in the coffee bar. Today, Sunday, November 11th, is our final day for collecting donations.
Your contributions will go directly to the services of the shelter where 80% of residents leave with stable income and housing.
Operation Christmas Child- last day to donate
Today is the last day to bring in your shoeboxes. This year, the shipping will cost $9.00 per shoebox, and due to customs, they are requesting that no candy or toothpaste be included.
Samaritan’s Purse International Relief has been delivering Christmas Shoeboxes to children in need around the world for the past 25 years. Each box is an opportunity for a boy or girl to experience the love of God in a tangible way and hear the Gospel. And, we love partnering with this amazing organization to bring His love to children at Christmas time, the season we celebrate God’s redemption of our lives through the birth of His son.
Men’s Breakfast- this Saturday
Men, join us this Saturday, November 17th for our Men’s Breakfast. We meet at the church building at 8am. If you would be interested in contributing to the food, please let Paul or Mike know.
Please pray for Seth Long who will be having surgery to have a g-tube inserted this Tuesday, November 13th. There will be a time of healing for him and adjustments for the Long family as they learn to use it. Please pray he would still learn and desire to eat a variety of food orally and that Jim & Brenda would have wisdom for his care and training, as communication can be unclear with him.
Memory Madness Madsmashing Week 5 starts today! Today is the last day to say your verses! If you have not completed your mission, you can still come to the table to say your verses. Toy store will be held November 25th. We will take a break from Memory Madness through December and will start back up in the New Year. Thank you to EVERYONE who participated this session! We enjoy hearing all the verses memorized!
Please Continue to Pray
Please continue to pray for Dory Hubbard as she went in for a Spinal Fusion surgery to correct Scoliosis on Monday, November 5th. The surgery went well, but she has a long road of healing ahead of her. Please pray for a swift recovery and endurance for her and all the Hubbards during this time.
Christine Chavez Fundraiser
As most of you know, Christine left this week to begin long-term missions work in Asia. Christine is still in need of partners to come along side her and offer support on a monthly basis. This is a great opportunity to advance the gospel in a culture that is unreached for Christ.
To help with this effort, the Fall River Mission Society is offering $3,000 to match your lump-sum donations through the end of November. For those of you who are led to become new partners with Christine, we will also match your first three month’s support.
To donate and match your contributions, use Christine’s support link. https://www.ywamcos.org/support?code=648
You can access this link in our app, under weekly announcements.
Once you have donated, YWAM will email a receipt for your records. To match your donations, please send a copy of your receipt (you may mark out your name!) to Chris@FallRiverMission.org. Please note on your receipt if you are a new monthly partner so we can triple your donation!
We have a goal of raising $10,000 for Christine. We know that when God calls, He also provides. Many hands make light work, so donations of any amount will help! Thank you in advance for your prayers and support of Christine and the unreached in Asia.
