New Gospel Project Classes Starting

Sunday, September 1st marks the beginning of our new school year for our Sunday school program, the Gospel Project, and we are excited to teach and serve the children in our church!  Some children will be moving to a new classroom and some will remain in the same room with new teachers.  Here is a breakdown of our classes and the age category in each:

  • Our nursery is for infants through 2 year olds.  Once your child turns 2, they can move up to the Toddler room which is the 2/3 year old room.
  • On Sept. 1st, children in the Toddler room that will turn 4 this year will move into the Preschool Room and join other 4-5 year olds who are not in Kindergarten.
  • Children who are attending Kindergarten this year will transition into the Younger Gospel Project Room.  Children who are going into 1st grade will stay in this room
  • Children going into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will go into the large meeting room right by the entrance to the auditorium.  They will join a table with their age group for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders.
  • The upcoming 5th graders will go their own room down the Sunday school hallway.

On the morning of Sept. 1st we would like for you to stop at each of your children’s classrooms and sign your child up for their class.  This will help us keep your children safe and accounted for in the year ahead.  If you have any questions about the upcoming school year or what class your child should attend, please ask Joey & Robin Taylor or Jack & Kelli Wuest.

It is a blessing to serve your family through our Sunday school program here at Summitview and thank you for entrusting your children to us!

Prayer Group Interest

Do you love praying for your kids? Do you love standing in the gap in prayer for a struggling friend? Do you love being transparent in lifting up your struggles to the Lord with another person?

If you are interested in any of these areas of prayer, Rebecca Andrews would love to hear from you.  She is hoping to start a prayer group starting in September depending on the amount of interest.  Last year she lead a Moms in Prayer group and is considering a different format, but also considering sticking with Moms in Prayer.

If you ARE interested in praying with some other ladies, please contact her at (970)391-9101 or rebeccaanneandrews@gmail.com with what type of group you would be interested in attending and what day and time would work best for your schedule.

Baby Bottle Campaign Update

Thank you to ALL who donated to this year’s Resource Center’s Annual Baby Bottle Campaign! They were able to raise $120,409.65!!!! And, our church contributed $1,415.56! Praise God!

Memory Madness

Memory Madness week 4 starts today! Don’t forget to go to the table to say your verse(s).

Thank you again to the Wuest’s & Taylor’s!

Thank you to Jack & Kelli Wuest and Joey & Robin Taylor for an amazing Sunday School Appreciation BBQ on Friday! We are so thankful for all the hard work you put in to preparing and prepping for Sunday mornings and for all the support you give to all our teachers and helpers!

Also, thank you to Isaia & Krista Aricayos and Caleb & Marlys Clark for paving the way with our Gospel Project program and leading our Children’s Ministry faithfully for so many years!

Also, a shout-out to Mike & Lindsey Yackey for all your years of service in our Sunday School as well!

Serving together is what our church family is SO good at! Thank you to everyone who uses their gifts and talents to help keep our church running well!
