8.29.21 Announcements- Much to Read

Happy Fall!
We have much that needs RSVP’d to or signed up for.
Sunday School Starts Sept 5th
We are gearing up for Children’s Ministry this fall and are excited about providing a teaching time for elementary age kids before the service and childcare and a toddler/preschool class during the service:
Gospel Project class: for ages 5-5th grade before the service (9-9:30am)
Nursery & Toddler/Preschool classes: for ages infant – 5 yrs old

Please see the Wuest’s, Taylor’s, or the Turner’s to sign up to serve in our nursery or toddler rooms. There are still LOTS of slots to fill.  They are only asking that you serve 1 or 2 weeks a month, every 3  months.

Upcoming Children’s ministry dates:
August 29 (THIS SUNDAY) – 5th Grade Graduation (If you have an upcoming 6th grader we will be honoring them after the service as they leave the Sunday school program and move into youth group)

And, YES, we WILL have coffee for parents during Sunday School (before the service).  Woo-hoo! You are also very welcome to join our Sunday morning Prayer from 8:30am-9:20 while your kiddos join the Gospel Project.
Background Checks for Children’s Ministry & Youth Group Volunteers
It is that time again. Please talk to Rebecca Andrews to find out if you need to sign a form to authorize the re-submitting your background check.  We like to redo our background checks every 2-5 years, which means most of our church is due for a new check.  Thank you for your help in serving the kids at our church!
Youth Group Fall Kick-Off- Sept. 8th (Please RSVP)
Youth Group will be starting back up on Sept 8th at the Polk’s house (37648 CR 49, Eaton, CO 80615).  We will meet at 6pm and eat dinner together, enjoy some great worship music and have some fun.  Festivities will end at 8:30pm.  A food sign up will posted as we get closer so be watching for that.  If your child is planning to attend, please RSVP to Kathy Teele (303-503-2477) to make sure we have enough food and drinks.
Our regular weekly meetings will be at the church beginning September 15th.
Leadership Training- Please RSVP
If you are involved in ANY form of leadership here at Summitview, or would like to be involved, we would love for you to attend the following three Leadership Training dates throughout the fall:

September 12th, 1-3pm
October 10th, 1-3pm
November 14th, 1-3pm

These dates are the 2nd Sunday of each month.  Then, in December, we will have a Leadership Appreciation event.
Please RSVP to this training so we can plan for the # of attendees as well as the # of children needing childcare.  We will be providing childcare for these meetings.
Also, if you are attending, please purchase the book Lead: 12 Gospel Principles for Leadership in the Church by Paul David Tripp. You will need to order this ASAP, as we would love for you to have the first 2 chapters read by the 1st meeting, Sept 12th.
