Gospel Project News
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in getting the Gospel Project to a great start this fall! If you are interested in having your children sing the songs and review the stories during the week you can purchase the Lifeway kids app. The app is offered each quarter and is $0.99 for the phone and $3.00 for a tablet. This is a great resource to reinforce what we’re teaching on Sunday mornings. Look up Lifeway kids app and search for Gospel Project.
Also, all teaching positions have been filled for this next year! Yay! We do have one opening for monthly tote prep or we could still use more substitute teachers. Please contact Joey/Robin Taylor or Jack/Kelli Wuest and we will find a place for you!
Also, we have the teaching rotation and sub list posted on the church app if you need quick access to that information. On the app, click on Groups to find the lists. If you need the phone numbers for any of the subs, contact Joey/Robin Taylor or Jack/Kelli Wuest.
Girl’s Bible Study-tomorrow
Brecklyn Yackey and Abi Hubbard have started a young girls (youth group age) girls bible study. We meet the 1st & 3rd Monday of every month and then the 4th Monday of the month for a craft night from 7-9pm. We will be going through the book “You don’t have to be perfect to follow Jesus” by Mike Yaconelli. If you have any questions, please contact Brecklyn Yackey at (970)422-0594.
Christine Send-off Potluck- Sunday Oct. 7th
Join us for a Send-off Potluck for Christine Chavez Sunday, October 7th, right after church. She will be moving to Central Asia mid-October and we’d love to show our support and love before she goes. She will be speaking to the congregation that Sunday as well, so we can all get an update on her plans. Please bring a dish to share with everyone. (There is plenty of room in our church refrigerator for any items that need to stay cold during the service.)
Memory Madness week 8 starts today! Don’t forget to go to the table to say your verse(s).
Work/Paint Day Update
Students from University high school came to help paint last Monday again. Check out the Sunday school hallways and the nursery that got painted. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to serve alongside the teens and came yesterday.
Need a bike?
Marek Mikula has two bikes up for grabs if anyone is interested. One is a smaller red Schwinn with 16” wheels, 1 speed with a front and back pedal brake. The second is a 21 speed bike that is a bit small for an adult but works great. Please contact Marek if you are interested @ (970)978-0889.
