We are a non-denominational Christian church in Evans, Colorado.
We believe that a church is not a building or an organization, but people. We are a family of real people with real lives and real problems striving to follow Jesus.
Our mission is simple. We want to love God, love each other, and love those around us. We strive to live out life's journey by what Jesus taught in the Bible; His final command was, "So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Over fifty years ago a man read in John 14:12 in the Bible that anyone who has faith in Jesus will do even greater things than Jesus did. That man spent hours thinking about those words and asking himself the question, "Do I really believe this?"
He decided he did and that man rallied a passionate group of young people who did the same and embarked on a journey that would change tens of thousands of lives forever. That group of people traveled all over the United States preaching about Jesus wherever they went and they left a trail of new communities in their wake. Those communities grew and started churches, until a network of churches with national and international impact was developed.
Summitview is part of a larger association of churches known as the M28 Alliance. M28 stands for the “Great Commission” Bible verses found in Matthew 28, which form the foundation of our Alliance. M28 is a U.S. based alliance of autonomous churches and ministries called to reach the world with the good news of Jesus Christ and to help each other disciple the nations.

We love music! The goal is to honor God and encourage His people. We sing traditional hymns, traditional hymns with updated rhythms, as well as modern worship songs. There is a variety of songs depending on what worship band is leading.
We also have a church choir that encourages us with special songs during the year. It is always a treat!

We work hard to encourage and build up the lives of men with a weekly Bible study and monthly breakfast at the church building.
God needs stout men who will love God and love others. "...valiant and mighty men... men trained for war... whose faces were like faces of lions." 1 Chronicles 12:8

The women's ministry has weekend get-a-ways along with monthly events to encourage their faith in being moms, as young marrieds, and as single women.
"There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all! ... a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised." Proverbs 31:29-30

The young adult group, known as "The Narrows," meets every Thursday night at the church building. They love to eat snacks, study the Bible, play music, serve the church... and become good friends! They have several yearly conferences as well as weekly events like Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, skiing trips, and movie nights.

Church Leadership
We place a priority upon raising up pastors and other leaders of Christ-like character within the local church. We give opportunity for men and women to lead by serving, following Jesus' example who said, "The Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many people." Matthew 20:28
The Grace of God
God's grace through Jesus Christ is the basis and power, not only of our personal lives, but also of our ministry.
Acts 20:24 (Amp) But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]
Commitment to God and His Word
Our aspiration is that our members will be marked by a wholehearted devotion to God, through prayer, study of the Bible, and living a life worthy of His calling.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness..
The Great Commission
Our ultimate goal and mission is to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make disciples of all the nations. "To know Christ and to make Him known."
Raising Godly Families
Strong families are the foundation for strong churches; we make it a priority to equip our members and to help our community in building their marriages and families based on God's design.
Proverbs 4:20-22 My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them…
Every Member a Minister
All Christians are empowered through the Holy Spirit so we seek to equip each member to utilize his/her spiritual gifts to serve others.
Ephesians 4:12 His purpose was to equip God’s people for the work of serving and building up the body of Christ.
